Over the last decade, there has been an explosion in litigation challenging employee benefit plans under ERISA and various state laws. HJRF represents private and governmental entities, plans, and executives and fiduciaries in all types of employee benefit litigation matters, including, 401(k) investment claims, pension claims, health plan claims, subrogation claims, long term disability and other benefit claims, ERISA Section 510 claims, age discrimination and sex discrimination claims, retiree health claims, executive compensation claims, and severance claims.

The attorneys of HJRF have successfully represented clients before the United States Supreme Court (Yates v. Hendon, 541 U.S. 1 (2004)), the Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and in U.S. District Courts throughout the country. We represent clients at every court level within the State of Tennessee and routinely handle litigation matters in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Virginia, as well as defending clients in federal court throughout the country, including most recently in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas and Washington. HJRF utilizes all methods of resolving cases, including all alternative dispute resolution methods.
